Privacy Policy

iBrightChild (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is an independent app that helps a parent or guardian collect and revisit their own child’s daily updates. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any childcare provider.

When you connect your account and use the app, we receive and store on our servers the information needed to build your digests and gallery:

• Account details: your name and email address.
• Your child’s information: name, room/school identifiers, and the daily activity notes, milestones, and teacher messages associated with their account.
• Photos shared to your child’s feed.
• A session token used to retrieve the above on your behalf, stored encrypted and used solely to sync your data.

We use this information only to operate the app for you: to sync your child’s updates, generate weekly summaries, display photos, and, if you purchase it, export photos to your device. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

To produce weekly digests, the text of activity notes and messages may be processed by an automated language model to extract summaries, highlights, and tone. This processing is used only to generate content you see in the app.

We rely on a small number of service providers strictly to run the app: cloud hosting and database/storage for your synced content, and Apple for in-app purchases. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

The one-time Bulk Photo Export purchase is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details.

We keep your data for as long as you use the app. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us; we will delete it promptly.

The app is intended for use by a parent or guardian about their own child. Any information about a child is provided and controlled by the adult account holder, who may request its deletion at any time.
